Heaton Planning are pleased to announce that the extension to UK Coal’s Lodge House surface mine was unanimously approved by Derbyshire County Council’s Planning Committee following a recommendation from planning officer’s to approve. This has resulted from 12 months of carfeul negotiation between all parties and secures the future production of coal from the Lodge House site.

Heaton Planning have just completed the Public Inquiry on behalf of Bedford Borough Council, for an appeal by Biogen Power Ltd against the refusal of a planning application for a 120,000 tonnes per annum gasification plant.
