Our Services - Educational Facilities

Heaton Planning has assisted Local Authorities with their Development Control caseloads, the majority of which comprise County Council's own school development, including new school complex, building extensions and annexes, temporary classrooms, fencing and sports areas. Heaton Planning also offer a service direct to schools and educational facilities in preparing planning applications for their on-campus developments. Recent projects include:

	Project Name:	Halam Primary School, Single Storey Extension to the School.
	Client:	Nottinghamshire County Council
	Project Manager:	Jenna Polak
	Heaton Planning were commissioned by the County Council to assess the proposals and the sites and make a recommendation to the Local Authority as to whether planning permission should be granted.
	Outcome:	Outcome: Granted Planning Permission

	Project Name:	Bowbridge Primary School, Refirbishment of the School Site.
	Client:	Nottinghamshire County Council
	Project Manager:	Jenna Polak
	There is currently a masterplan for refurbishment of the whole school site. This application related to a proposed 2 storey extension, new perimeter fencing and the refurbishment of existing play areas. Heaton Planning were commissioned by the County Council to assess the proposals and the sites and make a recommendation to the Local Authority as to whether planning permission should be granted.

	Project Name:	Gainsborough Educational Village
	Client:	Lincolnshire County Council
	Project Manager:	Simon Heaton
	Closing of 3 schools and the opening of one large educational village, consisting of a new large secondary school and associated development. Heaton Planning was commissioned by the Local Authority to project manage the application, including requesting revisions, and prepared the committee report.
	Outcome:	Granted Planning Permission

	Project Name:	Arnold Hill School and Technology College, Installation of Portacabins
	Client:	Arnold Hill School

	Heaton Planning were commissioned to prepare and submit a planning application for facilities to provide teaching support at Arnold Hill Lower School, Gedling, Nottingham.
	Outcome:	Granted Planning Permission
