Chris joined Heaton Planning in 2016. As a chartered planning consultant with over a decade of relevant experience, Chris is able to provide advice to clients on many aspects of the planning system, be it general matters relating to development potential from strategic development to single plot schemes, the interpretation of planning policy, change of use and permitted development rights. Chris has worked with a range of clients from private individuals to publicly quoted companies and from community groups to government departments. Chris has worked as a planning consultant since 2005. His responsibilities include the submission and project management of strategic planning applications, predominantly for residential and commercial development, some include the management of Environmental Impact Assessments. Chris has acted as a planning witness at numerous public inquiries and hearings on behalf of public and private sector clients and is able to directly instruct and brief Counsel for clients. Chris also has experience of participating in and providing evidence to Local Plan examinations in connection with development plan promotion activity for housebuilders and development companies.
