Heatons have gained planning permission for the Change of Use of part of a Grade II Listed Building to Sui Generis (Car Showroom) use, with the associated retention of an outbuilding used to store luxury vehicles. The site in question, Tollerton Hall and grounds, are located in the Nottinghamshire countryside and are in the Green Belt. 

Our planners worked collaboratively with Chris Blandford Associates to successfully argue that the use of the site as a car showroom and the presence of the outbuilding (which was built without planning permission) do not significantly harm the site’s significance as an important local heritage asset. Our in-house landscape architects also successfully argued that the proposal has an acceptable impact on the Green Belt.

The owner of the Hall can now run his high-end car sales business without the threat of planning enforcement.
