Planning Permission Granted for 700k Tonnes of Limestone Extraction at Thornhaugh Quarry, Peterborough

Peterborough City Council has granted planning permission to Bullimores Sand and Gravel Ltd for the working of limestone and backfilling of the quarry with inert material at Thornhaugh.  The proposal involves the extraction of approximately 700,000 tonnes of limestone. Waste infilling will take place as part of the approved restoration scheme, which will return the site to its original land use.

Heaton Planning produced the Planning Application and Environmental Statement as well as attending the Planning Committee on behalf of Bullimores Sand and Gravel, in order to achieve a positive outcome.
