Heatons are well experienced in carrying out and managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA),  preparing and submitting Environmental Statements (ES) and Non-Technical Summaries (NTS).  The Company is continually working with and managing specialist consultancies in carrying out detailed assessment work, and prides itself on working closely with technical specialists to ensure that a strong planning argument is assembled for all development proposals.  We strive to ensure that the strongest possible environmental and technical case is presented.  This includes detailed assessments of cumulative impacts, the assessment of alternatives, and emphasising the employment of effective mitigation and compensation measures including the potential delivery of planning gains and benefits. Heatons therefore seek to emphasise and make clear the need/supply and economic/employment benefits of each proposal.

We are not tied to specific environmental/technical consultancies and this enables us to establish, in conjunction with our clients, bespoke teams of specialists to tackle specific requirements based upon individual project circumstances.  This flexibility allows us to establish a team that combines the best levels of experience across all elements of the EIA providing for a robust EIA/ES and Planning Application.
