Richard joined Heatons in 2019 on a permanent consultancy basis to help grow the landscape architectural division of the company.  Richard is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) and his expertise lie in landscape assessment, development feasibility and masterplanning, and EIA, with direct industry experience ranging from minerals and waste developments to work within the industrial, commercial, residential, leisure, recreation and tourism sectors.  This has seen the successful promotion of land for various development types nationally, working on behalf of both local authorities and private clients (including leading national organisations).

Richard’s background in the minerals industry teamed with his education at Edinburgh University’s ‘Edinburgh College of Art’ culminate in technical yet imaginative responses which maximise project value (both revenue and social).  Richard is strategic in his thought process and based out of Heatons new office in Much Wenlock, Shropshire, will be supporting Heatons growth as a national environmental consultancy providing landscape architectural expertise across our planning and development sectors.

Richard maintains the position of Associate Director at a Development Consultancy, Kedd Limited.
