Selena joined Heatons in 2019 and provides advice and assistance to clients on many aspects of minerals and waste planning, including the preparation of planning applications, project managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), preparing feasibility studies together with supporting documents such as Waste Strategies and Construction Environmental Management Plans.

Selena has worked for both public and private sector clients on a wide range of planning applications including aggregate and hard rock quarries, landfill sites, anaerobic digestion plants, waste transfer stations, Materials Recycling Facilities, autoclaves and energy from waste plants.  She has also prepared Site Waste Management Plans and waste strategies for developments ranging from single plot high-rise schemes to strategic-scale developments, such as urban extensions.  Selena has worked for numerous clients including landowners, property developers, waste and mineral companies, pharmaceutical corporations, local authorities as well as the NHS.

Prior to joining Heatons, Selena worked for MJCA and then WYG Group, where she worked for almost 20 years in the Waste and Resource Management team.
